We are seeking a highly experienced Pump Mechanic to join our team! Duties include performing inspections, maintenance, installation and repairs of commercial, industrial, and municipal pumping equipment. Must be proficient at steel and copper piping, reading schematics, isometrics, exploded views, wiring diagrams and machine drawings. An understanding of machine tolerances, laser alignment, troubleshooting electrical control panels, motors, drives, pumps, and valves, . Welding is not a requirement, but could be useful if you have that experience. This position is 99% locally preformed. This position requires the ability to think out of the box, problem solving, and provide recommendations to engineering to get the job done.  Projects can be in small rooms, confined space situations, involve sewage pumps, fire pumps, and booster systems. 

This career is physically demanding. Travel is rare, though we do occasionally have a job in Georgia that may require overnight accommodations. This is not an 8-5 position. Most weeks have some overtime. Please do not apply if you have time restrictions or physical limitations that would interfere with the following requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Repair, replace, install, and start up pumps
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective pumping equipment
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Respond to work order requests as detailed by the project
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Be mindful of working in a safe environment
  • Be available for overtime and on-call work on a rotating schedule
  • Maintain a driver's license with good DMV record
  • Be comfortable driving and operating a crane truck (will train)
  • Maintain an organized, and clean company vehicle
  • Report deficiencies concerning vehicles and tools 
  • Work well with others or alone
  • Remain professional and calm under pressure
  • Meet DOT physical requirements
  • Get certified for Confined Space and Crane Truck operation

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the pump repair industry
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of industrial tools and equipment
  • Handle physically demanding tasks
  • Lift up to 100 lbs
  • Drive larger company vehicles (under CDL)
  •  Knowledge of different pump types, brands and models
