Working onsite, in a modern, fast paced environment, and with experience gained in a similar role, the successful candidate will be motivated and dynamic. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing process engineer / Process Improvement Engineer seeking to develop their career within a progressive organisation, but consideration will be given to appropriately qualified, but less experienced engineers able to demonstrate they have sufficient understanding of the key principles along with the ability to apply them in a working environment.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Utilising raw data and key performance indicators to make smart, evidence-based decisions that streamline workflows and cut waste to help maximise production efficiency.
* Inspiring and leading a culture of operational excellence by applying proven continuous improvement tools and methodologies, ensuring we’re always moving forward.
* Taking a key role in New Product Introduction (NPI), making sure new products and processes are fully prepared for successful launches.
* Creating and delivering training materials across departments.
* Mentoring and coaching Apprentices and Technicians.
* Guiding project teams and chairing meetings across factory departments, driving collaboration and results.
* Communicating with suppliers and vendors to ensure projects and essential components are delivered on time, every time.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Essential:
* A bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience gained through substantial industry practice.
* Proven experience in process or manufacturing engineering within a production or related environment.
* Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering and technical drawings, schematics, and documentation in a production or process engineering setting
not Essential:
* Knowledge and experience of working with Lean or Six Sigma principles.
* Familiarity with quality systems such as FMEA and control plans.
* Experience of working within a health and safety system, including understanding of relevant legislation such as PUWER, COSHH, and other machinery safety regulations.
Details of Package:
Up to £48,000 PA + Competitive Benefits, Including Generous above average holiday entitlement + Dayshift / Site Based with some flexible working around daily core hours
