Look no further as, at Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our team at our Chard Precision Casting based in Somerset!

The Role
The principal function of this role is to ensure that all processes within the wax department and assembly area are controlled on site to have the capability to deliver products with the desired quality levels and output rates.
You will be working within the engineering department, alongside the process engineering team. This team is comprised of 2 other engineers who take responsibility for Foundry and Shelling.
On a day-to-day basis you will:
- Support production within the waxing department.
- Liaise with part engineers to ensure scrap and waste reduction.
- Lead Plant Equipment improvement activities including major CAPEX projects.
- Lead improvement initiatives in manufacturing process.
- Use your problem-solving skills to ensure all conflicts are resolved.

To succeed in this role, you will be a self-motivated individual with good teamwork skills and strong problem-solving skills.
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Hold an HND/HNC/ bachelor qualification in Material science, Mechanical Engineering or Foundry Technology.
- You will have previous experience as a process Engineer in a relevant industry, Casting or Injection Moulding industry.
- You will have working knowledge of techniques such as 8D, FMEA, OEE, Lean Manufacturing.
- You will have a high level of understanding of Key process Control Measures such as CP and CPK
