Principal Structural Engineer\n\nWarwick \n\nFirst People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer known for delivering complex, high-hazard projects across sectors including Power, Life Sciences, Defence and Aviation.\n\nYou'll step into a senior leadership position on large-scale structural projects, overseeing multiple design teams and reporting into an Associate Director. You'll be instrumental in driving high-quality, technically robust design across complex projects.\n\nThis is a great opportunity to work on genuinely challenging projects that go beyond typical consultancy work, within a business recognised for its stability and strong, supportive culture.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLeading structural design across projects while managing and supporting teams\nOverseeing high-quality deliverables and providing technical direction\nManaging programmes, budgets, change and supporting bids\nDriving innovation, sustainability and safe delivery standards\nMentoring engineers and supporting team development \n\nRequirements:\n\nChartered Engineer (CEng, IStructE) with a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) and 8-12 years' UK consultancy experience\nProven leadership of structural teams and delivery across multiple work packages\nStrong knowledge of UK design standards, codes and assurance processes\nBroad technical background across building structures, foundations, analysis and specialist sectors\nProficient in structural analysis software, with experience reviewing complex models\nCommercially aware, with experience in budgeting and change control within multidisciplinary teams\nGood understanding of CDM, structural safety and UK regulations, with CSCS card, SC clearance eligibility and a full UK driving licence \n\nNext Steps\n\nPlease apply online with your most up-to-date CV, and a member of our team will be in touch for a confidential chat.\n\nWe'll take the time to understand your goals, ambitions, and long-term career plans to ensure this role and others align with your aspirations.\n\nFrom initial discussions through to offer and placement, we'll support you throughout the entire recruitment process.
