What you’ll be\ndoing:
- Completing DSEAR risk assessments and\ncompliance activities
- Mentoring and developing junior\nengineers
- Reviewing and producing explosion safety\nstrategies
- Peer reviewing\nwork
- Risk\nAnalysis
- Developing and producing processes and policy\ndocumentation for the site

Your skills and\nexperiences:
Essential:
\n
- Experience of working in an\nexplosion safety engineering environment and applying various\nmethods of hazard analysis
- DSEAR risk assessment production including\nhazard identification and analysis (preferably from a high hazard\nindustry)
- A thorough understanding of Hazardous Area\nClassification (HAC) and Proven track record in implementing\nbusiness processes to achieve strategic\nobjectives
Desirable:
\n
- Degree qualified in a STEM\ndiscipline
- COMAH – Control of Major Accident Hazards\n(Safety Case support) experience
- Site Asset Protection experience &\nFire Safety Engineering\nexperience

The Safety and Environmental\nTeam:
This is an exciting opportunity to join an\nestablished team tasked which offers exposure to the wider\nstrategic initiative. You will be working with six people from\nprincipals to apprentices, liaising with operational managers,\nheads of departments as well as the Health & Safety teams. This\nrole offers exposure to the Wider Control Damage Hazards team\nwhilst individually being given the opportunity for professional\ngrowth within the function. We offer relocation support packages\nacross all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility\ncriteria
