This is a wonderful opportunity to join my client, an innovative, industry-leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy renowned for lending their expertise to an array of projects across the civil, structural, and hydrological landscapes. They are on the lookout for a talented, enthusiastic Principal Flood Risk Assessor committed to overseeing an already-established team of designers and hydrologists at the office based near the thriving, richly-cultural port city of Liverpool.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:



Managing technical tender submissions, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), drainage assessment reports, and similar

Preparing, checking, and submitting technical documents, including reports, calculations, and models

Taking ownership of projects, overseeing resource allocation, budgets, timeframes, and overall delivery/implementation

Managing client and other stakeholder relations, across the public and private sectors

Overseeing the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of design colleagues

Identifying Business Development (BD) opportunities

Enforcing and upholding the relevant industry standards, processes, procedures, and legislation at all times



Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:



A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a similar, relevant discipline

Possess Chartered Status with a recognised Professional Body (e.g., CIWEM)

Extensive experience of working in a Flood Risk role, within a UK-based consultancy (or Local Authority) setting

Highly proficient in the use of several relevant software systems, including FEH, WINFAP FEH, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and WinDES

Experience of leading projects and people, at all stages of projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery

Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills



Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:



A UK Master's Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline

Highly competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
