Job Description
Principal Fire Engineer Job in Edinburgh, Scotland Principal Fire Engineer job in Edinburgh for an established and leading fire consultancy. As a key part of the Fire Engineering team, you will be working through all stages of complex fire engineering projects. The role offers a salary of £58,000 - £68,000 + Bonus + 27 Days Holiday + BH + hybrid working + healthcare + continuous CPD / professional development.

Role & Responsibilities
\n
-Reporting to Associate Fire Engineer / Associate Director
\n
-Managing technical aspects of larger projects or components of major projects
\n
-Support and mentor Fire Engineers within your team
\n
-Delivery of fire consultancy services, designer services and fire strategies
\n
-Manage internal and external enquiries
\n
-Develop new and existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities
\n
-Lead the fire engineering team/s to deliver multiple projects
\n
-Attend design team meetings throughout the project
\n
-Support with business strategy and digital innovations
\n
-Preparation of reports, engineering designs, calculations and specifications
\n
-Project manage from start to end including financials, quality management planning and customer care
\n
-Client facing through the lifecycle of projects.

Required Skills & Experience
\n
-Engineering Council Accredited BEng Hons, MEng or MSc
\n
-CEng / IEng or working towards -MIFIREE or working towards
\n
-Ideally 7+ years' experience in fire engineering
\n
-Extensive experience in delivering fire-engineered solutions for UK based projects
\n
-Familiar with passive and active fire protection systems
\n
-Strong understanding of UK legislation/regulations and design guidance (will also consider applicants from New Zealand or Australia with similar regulations)
\n
-Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines
\n
-UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
