LufCo is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a focus on Data Protection. This is an opportunity to make a real difference. Location:Annapolis Junction, MD

The Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following duties:

• Drive next Data Protection forward utilizing commercial and government best practices for ensuring secure encryption solutions
• Planning, implementation, and evolution of Data Protection sets for evaluation and analysis as part of existing system modernization efforts
• Ability to see impacts of system changes at scale, minimizing technical debt and critical thinking related to strategic moves regarding , Credentialing, and Access Management Solutions
• Provide fundamental knowledge on applying technologies like containerization to legacy physical workloads, the ability to identify automation improvements, and the ability to communicate pros/cons as part of the technical decision making process
• Documenting, maintaining and representing stakeholder priorities in regards to encryption products and services impacting thousands of users and systems worldwide
• Advocate for automation in all aspects of the system (build, deployment, test, updating, and monitoring)
• Maintain technical artifacts in support of system accreditation processes in coordination with ISSOs
• Assist with troubleshooting operational issues with the Tier 3 team
• Facilitate analysis of alternatives for next data security and encryption solutions

What Youll Need:

• TS/SCI with Polygraph level Clearance is required to support this effort
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Gitlab and Confluence to facilitate requirements traceability, ensuring high quality products are delivered to meet or exceed customer requirements
  
• Seven (7) years experience in Engineering or in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelors degree in a Technical or related discipline is required
  • 5 years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $136,000 to $250,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
