Job DescriptionJob Description

We’re looking for a Controls Engineer to join a dynamic team designing, programming, and commissioning power control systems for industrial and utility applications. This role involves developing SCADA, PLC, and HMI programs, designing electrical control systems, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of switchgear and protection systems. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving and a strong understanding of power and control logic.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement power system control schemes, including relay logic, switchgear control, and distribution systems.
  • Develop and program PLC/HMI and SCADA systems for automated power and equipment monitoring.
  • Create detailed control diagrams, circuit schedules, and wiring layouts.
  • Support system integration, testing, and commissioning of control and monitoring systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable and compliant power and automation solutions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power system controls, automation, or electrical design.
  • Proficiency in PLC/HMI and SCADA programming and integration.
  • Experience with power/control schemes, relay logic, and switchgear operation.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards (NEC ).
  • Familiarity with low- and medium-voltage distribution system design.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.
  • PE license but not required.
