Plant Manager - Wire Harness Manufacturing (Hands-On Engineering Leadership)

Are you a proven leader with a passion for manufacturing excellence and hands-on engineering? We’re seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at our wire harness manufacturing facility, overseeing production, quality, and process improvement while remaining directly engaged in technical problem-solving on the floor.

About the Role:

The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the facility—including production, quality, safety, and team development. This role combines strategic leadership with a hands-on engineering approach, ideal for a manager who enjoys solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations and ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and on time
• Lead, mentor, and develop production and engineering teams
• Apply engineering expertise to improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and harness assembly methods
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality, throughput, and cost reduction
• Maintain compliance with ISO and customer-specific quality requirements
• Partner with engineering and supply chain on new product introductions and process validations
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions for performance improvement
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture built on accountability and safety

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of leadership experience in wire harness, electrical assembly, or related manufacturing environment
• Proven success leading teams in a hands-on, high-mix production setting
• Strong technical background with the ability to read electrical schematics, prints, and process documentation
• Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen principles
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
