Airswift has been tasked to find Offshore Structure Engineer – Staad Pro & SACS to work for one of our major clients based in Paris, France.

• Contract Duration: 6 months renewable

PREAMBLE


The purpose of this specification is to define the conditions for the performance of the services relating to the offshore structural studies to be carried out by the SERVICE PROVIDER within the framework of the project.





Purpose of the service


The SERVICE PROVIDER will carry out the following tasks:

• Offshore steel frame modeling on Staad Pro & SACS
  
• Regulatory Structural Checks in Transport Fatigue
  
• Design of possible reinforcements and modifications to be made
  
• Writing the calculation report summarizing the results of the calculation
  
• Transfer of the information necessary for the development of the structural plans
  

REQUIRED SKILLS


The studies at the expense of the SERVICE PROVIDER require the following skills

• Mastery of the specificities of offshore structural design and analysis.
  
• Mastery of offshore installation know-how.
  
• Mastery of applicable codes (API, AISC, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of Staad Pro & SACS offshore structural analysis software.
  
• Ability to apply project procedures:
  
• From the point of view of respecting the circulation of documents.
  
• From the point of view of the strict application of the procedures for the execution of tasks.
  
• Ability to work with the standards, rules and study instructions of the project concerned.
  
• Technical English comprehension (reading/understanding of technical documents).
  
• Technical reporting capacity to the Business Manager.
  
• For this mission, the SERVICE PROVIDER must put in place personnel with a minimum of 2 years of experience as an offshore structural engineer on offshore topside EPC projects. Calculation experience on the Staad Pro and SACS software is required.
  

PROCEDURES - METHODOLOGY


It will be essential to follow the project rules, the Best Practices and the Quality Assurance procedures applicable to this project, in particular with regard to:

• Offshore steel frame design
  
• Production of calculation notes
