Shift Information:This position is Full Time working M-F 6:00am-2:00pm with rotations of weekly and holiday call. Associates in Nuclear Medicine
Education:
Bachelors in Nuclear Medicine and Radiography
Required Skills:
1. Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills. 2. Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and radiation protection and safety. 3. Knowledge of imaging physics. 4. Knowledge of medical terminology. 5. Ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum images with a minimum exposure to patients. 6. Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities. 7. Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy. 8. Skill in safe and efficient operation of Nuclear Medicine equipment. 9. Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new and better techniques to keep the department up to date. 10. Veni-puncture and comprehensive knowledge of proper use of isotope handling and injection for patient exams. 11. Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency.
Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
ARRT (N) or NMTCB, Texas License, and BLS CPR Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Multiple modality registry from ARRT Required Experience:
Entry level experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Experience:Greater than 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
