New Business Development Executive
Job Description
We are a market leading tech recruitment business with offices in London, Liverpool Street/Fenchurch Street. With a well-established foothold in the UK and European tech market, we work with clients spanning from innovative tech start-ups to large global banks placing contract and permanent technical staff in Niche, yet high demand roles such as Cloud, DevOps, Mobile, Software Development and Data.
The Role
We take pride in our consultative and thought leading approach to Business Development, partnering with companies at early stages in their growth to become trusted advisors as we work with them to achieve their growth targets, whilst maintaining sector specialism.
Your role will be to support our Director of Business Development in following up on leads and deepening existing business relationships to ensure the best servicing of our current clients and creating mutually beneficial relationships with new organisations from start-ups to large multinationals.
We expect you to use a variety of Business Development tools to find your own opportunity whilst leveraging off the sales delivery team as your ‘Channel’ to follow up on all the leads they pass on. Long term there is a flexible career progression path to suit you either maintain a focus on sales or building out a customer success team incorporating Business Development and Account Management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Effectively re-engage with historic clients and be confident in re-introducing the brand and our work.
- Utilise our broad resources alongside pre-existing skill set to identify and prospect new clients
- Work very closely with the sales team to convert leads and properly hand clients back over with high level introductions and qualifications & sport opportunities for cross sell
- Create tenders and project pitches and confidently project them
- Become an established name in the market through networking and market mapping
- Use your experience and skills to find new opportunities to win projects for the group
- Act as an escalation point for junior consultants who may need assistance with “closing” once they have already opened dialogue with a potential client
- Penetrate new areas with existing clients to further expand our scope of work within their business increasing wallet share as well as market share
- Work with Senior Managers of Explore Group teams to ensure maximum success
- Develop large accounts/key relationships of which you will go on to manage
Required experience
- You will already have proven success of working within a Business Development capacity
- Experience prospecting , and pitching to individuals
- Able to confidently consult, advise and objection handle
- Be a natural people’s person and enjoy meeting new people and build long lasting relationship (it’s not all about quick wins)
- We are a growing business, and with this we are looking for someone who can bring some new ideas to the table but also someone who is agile in their current approach and open to learning and developing new skills themselves.
Salary and Benefits
- Base salary from £25,000 rising to £30,000+
- Uncapped commission - realistic OTE of £40,000-£50,000 in year 1
