Job Overview
Are you an experienced diesel mechanic who enjoys working independently and making an impact every day?
We’re looking for a Mobile Diesel Technician to perform on-site service, inspections, and repairs for commercial trucks and heavy-duty vehicles — no overnight travel required.
This is a local, field-based role offering a company-provided vehicle, covered expenses, and performance-based bonuses. If you’re customer-focused, technically strong, and ready to grow, this is a great opportunity to join a professional, stable team that values your independence and skill.
What You’ll Do
- Perform on-site preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel engines, braking systems, and powertrains.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and emissions-related issues using diagnostic tools and software.
- Conduct DOT inspections and complete detailed service documentation with accuracy and professionalism.
- Plan repair strategies, estimate time and parts needs, and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Maintain your mobile workspace and company vehicle to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and help ensure fleet uptime and reliability.
- Mentor junior technicians when needed and share best practices across the service team.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on diesel or heavy truck repair; mobile or field experience .
- Education: Technical training or equivalent hands-on background.
- Certifications (a plus):
- ASE Diesel Certifications (T-Series)
- DOT Inspector certification
- MACS 609 (Mobile A/C)
- Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability across multiple systems
- Solid communication and record-keeping skills
- Self-starter who manages time effectively without supervision
- Customer-first attitude and commitment to safety
