Are you a Metallurgist driven by complex challenges and real-world impact? At NOV Flexibles, we are expanding our Metallurgy Technology Centre to support global operations—from Kalundborg, Denmark to Porto de Açu, Brazil. We’re looking for an analytical, collaborative engineer to push the boundaries of corrosion science and materials technology in offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate corrosion and fatigue mechanisms (e.g., pitting, SCC, SSC)
  • Plan and conduct laboratory tests with technical staff
  • Analyze and present test findings to internal stakeholders
  • Advise on material selection and corrosion control strategies
  • Collaborate with suppliers and production teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Maintain and improve technical procedures and specifications

Qualifications & Skills

Essential:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science
  • Strong understanding of corrosion and electrochemistry in steels
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical results and procedures
  • Fluent in English

Desired:

  • Experience with electrochemical testing or offshore materials
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g., NACE, ASTM)

Soft Skills

Success in this role requires a structured, proactive mindset and strong communication skills. You should thrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy translating complex technical findings into actionable insights.
