Job Description

Are you a Mechanical Project Manager with experience in the MEP, HVAC, Ventilation sector, keen to progress your career on large scale engineering and construction projects?\n\nDo you have a keen interest in the Nuclear/Clean energy space?\n\nWe are currently working in partnership with a leading HVAC contractor, based in the Manchester area.\n\nThey have a very strong reputation for project delivery, with a particularly strong track record within defence, rail, energy and power sectors.\n\nDue to large scale project wins and a very strong pipeline of work ahead, they have a requirement for a Mechanically biased Project Manager, this position will be based out of their Manchester/North West office with some travel to site and also WFH.\n\nMechanical Role Responsibilities:\n\n * You will be responsible for managing and delivering large scale projects from initial tender/pre con stage through to project completion.\n\n * Oversee and manage multi-disciplined teams with an emphasis on Mechanical, you will need a background in HVAC or MEP to be considered for this position.\n\n * Provide clear concise leadership in a client facing position, you will be the key point of contact on the project.\n\n * Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the business and project teams.\n\n * Work with the site H&S Manager, ensuring compliance with regulations and encouraging a zero accident culture.\n\n * Manage and oversee all quality related procedures on site.\n\n * Understand and protect the companies position during project negotiations, delivery and post contract.\n\n * Build and develop strong relationships with clients and key stake-holders.\n\n * Work with the commercial team to provide accurate information for payments, variations and final accounts.\n\nMechanical Project Manager Role Requirements:\n\n * A solid background within the HVAC/MEP space is essential.\n\n * Comfortable managing project teams in a client facing position.\n\n * Capable of working to tight programme deadlines.\n\n * Experience running teams including engineering, site, managing sub contractors.\n\n * Contractually aware, with a good understanding of contractual obligations (ideally NEC but not essential).\n\n * Aware of and capable of reinforcing H&S on site.\n\n * Hard working, well presented and keen to progress your career.\n\n * A Full UK driving licence and UK working rights.\n\nIf you are a Mechanical Project Manager looking to take the next step in your career on major projects within the Energy sector, please contact Dean Parry.\n\nI am available 8am-8pm Monday to Friday.\n\nKey words:\n\nMechanical Project Manager jobs, MEP jobs, HVAC Jobs Manchester, Nuclear project manager vacancies, MEP Project Manager jobs Manchester, MEP Nuclear jobs
