BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a client based in the North East.



About the Role



Salary: £50,000 per annum

Permanent position

Duties/Responsibilities



Specify and design bespoke pumping solutions for Building Services, Water Utilities, and Industry

Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers

Provide technical and cost information to support sales and delivery processes

Manage product specification development and support production with accurate information

Improve and develop project order systems and document control

Deliver timely engineering support for pre-sales tenders and post-sales mechanical translation to production

Ensure all drawings, bills of materials, and documentation meet company and international standards

Coordinate multi-discipline teams to fulfil project requirements from enquiry to delivery and commissioning About You



Proven experience in delivering engineered products and services, with automotive or pumping solutions experience being advantageous

Strong background in new product introduction or project delivery

Process-driven approach to planning and organisation, with flexibility and tenacity to deliver

Customer-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Commercially astute with a drive to maximise profitability

Proficiency with leading 2/3D CAD packages, such as Catia and Revit, is desirable

Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, such as SAP, is advantageous

Competent in IT and MS Office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)

Degree in mechanical engineering , or a minimum of ONC in a related engineering discipline with relevant experience

Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
