Mechanical Engineer Fire Protection
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client, a global manufacturing brand, is looking to hire a Fire Protection Mechanical Engineer to join their Global Team. The Fire Protection Engineer manages the full life cycle (researching, designing, and developing) fire protection products including, sprinklers, flexible sprinkler fittings, and special hazards systems. You will be providing a broad array of Fire and Life Safety Engineering and Fire Protection System Design, Construction, and Management services throughout the entire organization.
Things to know about this role:
- Salary range is $90,000-$110,000
- This is an On-Site position, Monday-Friday in Easton, PA.
- Candidates who do not live within a commutable distance of Easton, PA must be willing to relocate (with company assistance).
- Travel both abroad and internationally is required for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Design fire suppression, fire alarm and fire protection systems
- Plan, direct, and oversee assigned fire protection engineering activities including project execution
- On site worldwide, conduct inspections, studies, design, and complex calculations
- Complete site surveys and identify code issues and offer compliant solutions
- Perform interpretation and application of local, state, and federal requirements, and regulations, relative to all aspects of fire protection and life safety
- Present technical audits, reports, and exhibits
- Visit client sites or frequent travel with overnight stay
Requirements
- B.S. Degree, or higher, in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering
- 5+ years of work experience in Fire Protection Engineering design and project management
- Solidworks, Ansys, Mechanical Piping Systems experience required
- Codes & Standards Experience with NFPA Standards 13, 75, 318, 750, 770, 2001, 2010
- Experience with automated/electrically controlled valves and basic electronic controls preferred
- Experience with data loggers/ acquisition preferred
