Join Luxus Build and Help Engineer the Future of High-Performance Architecture

Luxus Build is where high-end architecture meets intelligent engineering. We are a boutique architecture and engineering firm based in Maitland, Florida, serving clients nationwide in hospitality, mission-critical, entertainment, and commercial development. With an emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence, our integrated team delivers tailored building solutions that are as beautiful as they are functional.

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) who brings deep Revit expertise, hands-on experience designing high-efficiency HVAC systems, and a team-first mindset. This is an ideal role for someone who wants more responsibility, more voice in the design process, and a team where technical mentorship and work-life balance go hand-in-hand.

Why Join Luxus Build?

  • Purposeful Work: Design HVAC systems for projects that serve real people—resorts, data centers, entertainment venues, and more.

  • Flexible Work-Life Blend: Enjoy a hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days and flexible hours.

  • Growth Without Politics: Collaborate with approachable leadership, be recognized for your contributions, and grow your career organically.

  • Supportive Culture: We're not just hiring an engineer—we're adding to our team culture. You'll find camaraderie, curiosity, and commitment here.

Your Impact

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, coordination, and technical execution of HVAC systems across a range of commercial and mission-critical projects. You'll mentor junior staff, collaborate cross-functionally, and represent mechanical engineering excellence within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

HVAC Design & Engineering

  • Develop complete HVAC system designs, including load calculations, duct layouts, equipment selection, and sizing for high-performance buildings.

  • Create detailed schematics, construction documents, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.

  • Lead energy-conscious designs that comply with evolving ASHRAE, NFPA, and energy code standards.

Project & Team Collaboration

  • Coordinate with architectural, structural, plumbing, and electrical disciplines for cohesive design delivery.

  • Respond to submittals, RFIs, and support site visits during construction administration.

  • Attend and contribute to coordination meetings, ensuring project alignment and client satisfaction.

BIM Integration

  • Model and maintain HVAC systems in Revit, ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines through clash detection and BIM coordination tools.

  • Participate in internal BIM reviews and workflow improvements.

Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing

  • Provide guidance to junior engineers and drafters, supporting their technical development and quality output.

  • Share insights, improve internal standards, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Credentials: EIT required; PE or on track to obtain.

  • Experience: 5–15 years in HVAC design for commercial, hospitality, or data center projects.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and load calculation tools like Trane Trace or Carrier HAP.

  • Mindset: You're a solutions-driven thinker who enjoys problem-solving, mentoring, and elevating design quality.

  • Personality Fit: Personable, professional, and easy to collaborate with. You enjoy a positive team culture and value doing things the right way.

This Role is for You If:

  • You're currently in a mechanical design role and want more influence, more variety, and more growth.

  • You're looking for a hybrid schedule where flexibility meets responsibility.

  • You're not chasing titles—you're building a long-term career and want a company that invests in your development.

  • You enjoy working in a smaller team where your voice matters and your contributions are seen.

How to Apply
