Mechanical Engineer
Job DescriptionWho are you?
You are an experienced Mechanical design engineer, qualified to a minimum of HNC level in a relevant discipline. You must hold or be willing to obtain SHEA Gas qualification. You will have demonstrable experience in Oil & Gas or a similar process-orientated environment, with in- depth knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, machinery commonly used in the gas processing industry. e.g. pumps, compressors, valves, instrumentation, flow control and pressure equipment. You will have a working knowledge of PE(S)R and ATEX regulations and production of technical files, LOLER and DNV lifting regulations and ASME B31.3 piping codes and standards to include welding and NDT requirements.

What is the role?
This is a full-time, contract role based at our client’s Wymondham facility. The duration is expected to be over 12 months.
What will my day-to-day duties look like?
You will produce and complete design documentation, pressure, flow, stress, structural and nozzle calculations. BOM's, test requirements, procedures and certificates etc. Review and approve drawings, e.g. fabrication, P&ID's, schematics. Reviewing welding procedures, adhering to QHSE standards and updating RAMS, attending client sites in the UK & overseas to perform SATs and surveys.
