Mechanical Assembler – Manufacturing
Location: Acworth, GA
Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour
Mechanical Assembler Job Summary
A growing manufacturing company in the Acworth, GA area is hiring 5 Mechanical Assemblers to join its production team. This is a hands-on position for dependable candidates who are comfortable using tools, reading measurements accurately, following written assembly instructions, and working from blueprints or production drawings.
The right candidate must be able to really read a tape measure, including fractions and precise measurements. This role requires strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule
The current schedule is:
Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will:
- Assemble metal and mechanical components according to instructions and specifications
- Accurately read and use a tape measure, including fractional measurements
- Follow written assembly instructions and standard work procedures
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and production documents
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly
- Measure, align, drill, fasten, and inspect components during assembly
- Check completed work for accuracy, quality, and proper fit
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding materials, quality, or production needs
Mechanical Assembler Requirements
Qualified candidates should have:
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure — required
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to follow written instructions step by step
- Ability to read basic blueprints or assembly drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good attendance and reliability
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Previous assembly, mechanical, fabrication, construction, or manufacturing experience
