We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Materials Scientist to join our dynamic team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and testing new materials to meet specific project requirements. You will work on projects from conception through to implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while enjoying the flexibility of a remote work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct experiments to study the properties and performance of various materials, including polymers, ceramics, metals, and composites.
  • Analyze and interpret data using advanced analytical techniques and software to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Develop new and improved materials and processing methods to meet technical and commercial objectives.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, research papers, and presentations to communicate findings to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other scientists to integrate new materials into product designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in materials science and technology through literature reviews, conferences, and professional networks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve material-related issues during product development and production phases.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a research or industrial setting.
  • Proven experience with materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, DSC, TGA).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and simulation tools is a plus.
