Manufacturing Engineer | Otsego, MI
Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Design, procure, and implement manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues.
- Support new product introduction by ensuring manufacturability and smooth transition to production.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and implement engineering changes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on process optimization and production support.
- Demonstrated experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture design and process layout.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Experience with production equipment, tooling, and fixture design, development, and troubleshooting.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with automation, robotics, or PLC programming.
- Proficiency in advanced CAD/CAM software for simulation or tooling design.
- Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing improvement projects.
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for production data analysis.
