- Responsible for routing all new parts throughout factory, as well as acting as signs of this step in the ECN process.
- Make sure the correct functions are informed (Work centers, foreman, machinists) of any new parts or changes to existing parts, to ensure all parties are informed.
- Participate in design reviews with engineers to ensure that parts can be manufactured in house.
- Work with engineers on any necessary outside processes to ensure products will be made for print.
- Implement new processes to streamline manufacturing.
- Work with foreman and machinists on any issues and ways to make any lagging processes more efficient.
- Learn how to use new machines to better help machinists.
- Collect machining data from Work centers to create a Manufacturing Report
- Analyze daily machining data to get a precise number on factory efficiency and parts made.
- Design and build fixturing and tooling based on number of parts needed to be made.
- Ensure that manufacturing processes are efficient, up to date, and as cost effective as possible while maintaining the level of quality.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Understanding of GD&T.
- CAD modeling experience.
- Experience with programming with G-Code.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Firm understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Machining limitations
- Heat treat, coating, finishing, etc.
