Manufacturing Cost Modeling Engineer (Chemicals)

Description Develop and deploy cost modeling tool on manufacturing process for chemicals category/commodity (lab/pharma-grade).Simulate should-cost of chemicals manufacturing to support cost savings initiatives and sourcing strategies.Apply cost analysis to identify gaps/opportunities and propose solutions to support cost reduction/optimization.Collaborate with suppliers in cost model development and manufacturing efficiency improvement towards cost optimization.Conduct supply-market data research to compile regional cost database and provide market intelligence/insights to support Procurement strategies & competitive advantage.QualificationsBachelors' Degree or above in Engineering/Science or equivalent.Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following fields - Manufacturing/Process/Supplier quality engineer, Costing/Sourcing engineer, Supply-market intelligence analyst, or related function/role.Technical background/expertise in manufacturing process/technology for chemicals (lab or pharma grade industry is a plus) and good understanding on the cost profile/structure.Effective MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Data analytics and digitalization skills are a plus.Ability to independently manage and execute multiple projects in parallel, and drive resolutions of complex problems.Effective communication & collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, globally.Agilent Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
