Overview:
Our client, a well-established public accounting firm in Vancouver, is urgently hiring for the position of Manager – Assurance. This is an opportunity to lead high-impact engagements, mentor CPA students and Seniors, and contribute directly to clients from diverse industries including First Nations, nonprofits, and private enterprises.
✅ Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
- CPA designation (mandatory)
- 4+ years of public practice experience with solid audit and review exposure
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity
- Strong working knowledge of CaseWare, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish is an asset)
- Proven ability to manage engagements, lead teams, and liaise directly with clients
Ideal Background:
- Big 4 Firms (EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG)
- Mid-tier Firms (BDO, MNP, Grant Thornton, RSM, Segal GCSE, etc.)
- Boutique firms serving private companies, Indigenous communities, or nonprofit sectors
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage audit and review engagements end-to-end
- Work directly with Partners and clients on complex financial matters
- Supervise, coach, and develop assurance team members including CPAs-in-training
- Review files and ensure compliance with standards and deadlines
- Contribute to internal training, audit methodology, and process enhancements
- Analyze financial statements and provide actionable client recommendations
