Position: Maintenance Technician II
Location: North Chicago, IL, 60064
Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: 2nd Shift; 3.00PM - 11:30PM
Payrate: $35.00 - 37.00/hr.

Job Description:
- Perform and document daily preventive and corrective work orders assigned under supervision complying with applicable procedures.
- Dismantle equipment, remove, and replace defective parts.
- Make changes in production equipment, facilities, utilities or any other equipment used in the production areas that help improve the performance of production processes.
- Fabricate or modify machine parts using machine shop equipment if required.
- Read, interpret and use drawings, electrical and control circuit diagrams, equipment, and schematic manuals as reference when performing mechanical and electrical work.
- Observe the indicators of control parameters in panels and devices in operation.
- Identify problems and causes, and make corrections / repairs if necessary.
- Provide technical advice or train co-workers in the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment of high technological level and other aspects necessary to perform the job.
- Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis
- Maintain tools, work area, and other equipment in good working conditions complying with GMP and safety regulations.
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows) Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks
- Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization
- Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site
- Comply with client's Policies, with the Plant Procedures, and with the regulations and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) of the Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
- Provide assistance to operations in accordance with environmental management, occupational health and safety EHS systems and promote continuous improvement.
- Comply with all EHS procedures and policies including incident reporting, use of PPE, waste management and disposal, and any other program applicable according to the position duties.
Qualifications:
- List required and qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.
- HS diploma with 10+ yrs.
- Experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs.
- Experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions. CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
- Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools) Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
