Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 4:00 pm (Will work on Friday's depending on business needs)


Summary:

Ensures safe, reliable, and efficient production by maintaining equipment and facilities, supporting quality and operational needs, and contributing to continuous improvement across the facility in accordance with established practices, processes, regulations, guidelines and standards.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Abide by, enforce and participate in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulations, including lockout/tagout, and maintain a clean, organized work area.


Inspect, operate, or test machinery/equipment to detect malfunctions or defects in physical structures. Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following standard procedures.

Perform Preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and physical structures with a focus on reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.


Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement root-cause solutions.


Partner with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure machines run within specifications to support consistent, high-quality output.


Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance equipment performance, reduce waste, and strengthen product quality.


Assist with installation, setup, and optimization of new equipment and process improvements or upgrades.


Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records, documenting issues, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.


Assist with production needs such as unloading trucks, filling hoppers, and starting machinery as required to support workflow.


Communicate work progress, repair timelines, and equipment status clearly with supervisors and production teams.


Conduct regular production-floor checks to identify equipment issues early, monitor machine performance, and support consistent product quality.


Train new associates in appropriate safety procedures, work instructions and quality standards.


Actively contributes to continuous process improvement.


Participate in training and continuous learning opportunities; meet training and/or certification requirements of the job, department, product or area as designated/defined in work instructions and quality standards.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED plus 2 years or more Vocational/Technical Program, or equivalent; and over 3 months up to and including 6 months; or any combination of education, experience and training.


Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Perform the four operations with like common and decimal fractions. Perform arithmetic operations involving all American monetary units.


Reasoning Ability:

Computer Skills:

This job is performed while standing most of the time. It entails walking, pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, crouching or kneeling. The employee must wear the following prescribed personal protective equipment at all times while performing the duties of this job: safety glasses/goggles, closed shoes, hearing protection and other protective equipment as specified by OSHA and other federal/state regulations
