Presbyterian Village, a premier Retirement Community in Austell, GA is currently seeking a Full-Time Engineering Assistant/Maintenance Tech who is a self-starter and dependable to provide the highest possible cleanliness for our Property Management department. RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Assists in the systematic inspection and repair of the various equipment and structures within the facility.

• Carries out assigned duties in such a way that assures that the building, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, efficient and sanitary manner.

• Works with the supervisor to establish and implement the preventive maintenance program on building, such as boiler, generator, chiller, fire alarm and related equipment and required scheduling.

• Maintains building through heavy cleaning and painting as necessary.

• Assists in plumbing problems through locating and repair as needed.

• Maintains all facility tools and supplies in good condition.

• Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance as scheduled & requested; may include painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, replacing filters, working with trash compactor, etc.

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on community equipment to include: plumbing, light bulb replacement, A/C maintenance, electrical, carpentry and mechanical repair.

• Manage service request and response times, ensuring completion within established deadlines with excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a minimum of three 3 years hands on experience in maintenance to include general carpentry, electrical, heating and cooling systems, plumbing, painting, drywall, buffing and waxing; use of power tools preferably in a senior living or multi-family environment.

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Certification and licensing , but not required.
