About the Opportunity:
A well-established and mission-driven property management firm is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor for an affordable housing community in Columbus, OH. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to lead a dedicated team while making a direct impact on the quality of life for in a Section 42 housing community.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the maintenance department, ensuring high standards of safety, functionality, and appearance. This role is key in maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff and vendors
  • Manage work orders, preventative maintenance, and unit turnovers
  • Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general carpentry
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure all systems and units meet safety and compliance standards
  • Maintain adequate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Participate in budget planning and collaborate with onsite management team
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of the on-call rotation
  • Ensure all work complies with OSHA, EPA, HUD, and LIHTC (Section 42) guidelines

Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Participation in an on-call rotation is required for emergency maintenance issues.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience, including 1 year in a leadership role
  • Affordable housing experience (Section 42/LIHTC) is strongly
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of maintenance issues
  • Strong leadership, time management, and communication skills
  • HVAC/CFC certification
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening as required by law
