Maintenance Operative - Multi-Site Facilities Role
Location: Newport (within 45 minutes)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (DOE)
Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday (08:00-17:30, rota'd shifts)

About the Company
Our client is a leading name in the UK self-storage sector, known for its modern, well-kept sites and steady growth. They're expanding fast and have a strong reputation for maintaining high standards across their facilities.

The Role
You'll carry out general maintenance, repairs, and preventative upkeep across several storage sites in the Newport area. Expect a mix of electrical, plumbing, roofing, and building fabric work. Some days it's a roof inspection; others, fixing lighting or managing contractors.
This is a hands-on role where you'll split time between working solo and collaborating with a small, close-knit team.
What You'll Be Doing
Carry out planned and reactive building maintenance across multiple sites
Handle minor electrical, plumbing, and roofing repairs
Operate a cherry picker safely (IPAF licence required)
Supervise and liaise with external contractors
Keep detailed maintenance logs and inspection records
Always follow safe working practices in line with CDM Regulations
What You'll Need
Strong practical background in building trades (multi-skilled )
Valid IPAF licence and experience using cherry pickers
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between local sites
Based in or near Newport (within 45 minutes)
Self-motivated, reliable, and confident working on your own or with others
Desirable (Not Essential)
SMSTS / NEBOSH / IOSH qualifications
Your own tools (company can provide full set if needed)
