Maintenance Engineering Manager (Plastic Injection Moulding)\n\nFull-time | Permanent\nSalary: From £55,000 per year\nLocation: Liverpool\nSchedule: Monday to Friday\nOverview\nAn established manufacturing organization is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations within a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. The role involves leading a team of technicians, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of machinery and facilities.\nThe client is involved in plastics/injection molding, making waste refuse bins. Thus plastic injection molding experience is essential.\nThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys tackling technical challenges, driving continuous improvement, and supporting a busy manufacturing operation.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and coordinate the maintenance team to ensure equipment and facilities are kept in safe, efficient working order.\nPlan and prioritise maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and support production targets.\nConduct and facilitate root cause analysis to address equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.\nOversee budgets, spare parts control, and external contractor or supplier relationships.\nMaintain strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.\nChampion initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.Skills & Experience\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance management role within plastics, injection moulding, or a similar manufacturing setting.\nStrong understanding of injection moulding machinery, automation/robotics systems, and associated utilities.\nPractical experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLC fault-finding.\nConfident leader with the ability to coach, support, and develop technical staff.\nExcellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.\nEngineering qualifications or technical certification desirable.What's Offered\n\nStarting salary from £55,000\nPerformance-related bonus scheme\nMonday-Friday working pattern with on-call requirement\n25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays\nPension scheme\nLife insurance\nHealth support programme\nFree on-site parking\nCycle-to-work schemeAdditional Information\nApplicants must be able to reliably commute to the Liverpool area or be prepared to relocate.\nRight to work in the UK is required.\nRef S73\n\nAbout Us\n\nWe are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive community.
