Job Description
Regional Maintenance Engineer\n\nLocation: Home-based / covering the North of England\n\nSalary: £35,000 + Van + Benefits\n\nHours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with flexibility for urgent site visits and occasional overnights)\n\nWork Location: Field-based / Remote\n\nFull time / Permanent\n\nWe are seeking a Regional Maintenance Engineer to join their team covering the North of England. This is a varied and hands-on role, supporting the performance, reliability, and compliance of smart parking systems. The successful candidate will be home-based, travelling across the region to complete both planned and reactive maintenance.\n\nRegional Maintenance Engineer Role:\n\nAs a Regional Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining a network of smart operations, signage, and smart-parking hardware.
Using a blend of remote monitoring and on-site diagnostics, you'll ensure technology continues to operate efficiently, minimising downtime and maximising customer experience.\n\nRegional Maintenance Engineer Key Responsibilities:\n\nMonitor and maintain ANPR cameras, signage, poles, power, and related hardware.\nConduct scheduled maintenance inspections and proactive service visits.\nRespond to reactive faults and attend breakdowns within SLA timeframes.\nUse remote platforms to identify issues and provide root cause analysis.\nCollaborate with engineers, surveyors, and support teams to ensure service excellence.\nMaintain ISO-compliant documentation, reporting, and technical records.\nSupport wider engineering projects including installations, signage, and upgrades.\n\nWhat They Are Looking For:\n\nEssential:\n\nProven background in maintenance or engineering within CCTV, or smart infrastructure (or similar)\nStrong technical and diagnostic skills with ability to use remote monitoring tools.\nUnderstanding of Health & Safety standards (RAMS, PPE, Working at Height).\nHigh IT literacy (Microsoft Office; data reporting tools desirable).\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the North of England.\nDBS check required.\n\nRegional Maintenance Engineer Key Attributes:\n\nProactive and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills.\nReliable and accountable, with excellent attention to detail.\nTeam-oriented, with ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.\n\nIf you're ready to take on a varied and rewarding role as a Regional Maintenance Engineer, we'd love to hear from you
