Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMancan has exciting opportunities available for Press Assistants in New Phila, offering a competitive rate of $17 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Proficiently operate log stacker and compensating stacker, ensuring the creation of orderly logs and skids to maintain optimal bindery performance.
Diligently inspect product quality throughout the press run, including factors like fold squareness, page numbering, lap consistency, press or stacker markings, and overall print excellence.
Skillfully set up and manage local and remote piece weight scales.
Demonstrate competence in general maintenance and proper cleaning of strappers and log stackers.
Maintain accuracy in providing precise product counts at the conclusion of each press run.
Apply skid tags to finished skids and arrange them appropriately.
Collaborate with the press crew to facilitate press setup and make-ready after each run.
Uphold cleanliness standards in the press area, ensuring a tidy environment at all timessweeping the floor, emptying trash cans and boxes, wiping down the press, and managing loads of up to 60 lbs.
Working Shift:
This position follows a continental shift schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., pay rate is based on experience
