The Role As the Lead Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of mechanical design activities across the full product lifecycle — from concept through to manufacture. You’ll focus on enclosure design, mechanical layout, and packaging of electronic assemblies, ensuring that mechanical and PCB designs are seamlessly integrated.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design and integration for PCB-based electronic products.
Produce detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks, ProE, or similar CAD tools.
Collaborate closely with electronics engineers to ensure mechanical layouts complement PCB design and component placement.
Oversee design validation, prototyping, and mechanical testing.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers. Ideal Candidate:
Strong background in mechanical design, ideally within the electronics or electromechanical sector.
Proficiency with SolidWorks, ProE, or other 3D mechanical CAD software.
Exposure to PCB design principles, layout, and packaging constraints.
Experience designing multi-layer assemblies and precision enclosures.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail.
Confident communicator who enjoys working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience leading projects or mentoring less experienced engineers would be a distinct advantage.
