Program Summary

KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, including numerical control (NC) and computerized numerical control (CNC) machines, downhole drilling tools, and mobile vehicles. The role supports manufacturing and testing operations by ensuring equipment reliability and functionality across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and other specialized systems. The technician contributes to operational efficiency and product quality by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring timely repairs.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design, repair, and install wooden structures, furniture, doors, and frames; ensure precision in measurements and finishes for durability and aesthetic quality.

• Prepare and restore surfaces, apply paints, stains, and protective coatings to walls, furniture, and fixtures; maintain a professional finish that enhances both function and appearance.

• Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal parts; repair and maintain gates, railings, frames, and other facility-related equipment with safety and strength in mind.

• Install, repair, and re-key locks; maintain access control hardware; provide reliable solutions for securing offices, storage rooms, and facility spaces.

• Inspect and service facilities regularly, ensuring all areas are safe, functional, and compliant with standards.

• Work closely with other team members and departments to respond quickly to service requests and projects, balancing multiple trades with efficiency.

• Diagnose issues across carpentry, painting, welding, and locksmithing and provide effective, hands-on solutions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Proven experience in at least two or more of the following trades: carpentry, painting, welding/metalwork, or locksmithing.

• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment related to multiple crafts.

• Knowledge of materials, techniques, and safety standards in woodwork, paint finishes, metal fabrication, and lock systems.

• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills, with attention to detail and craftsmanship.

• Physical ability to lift, move, and work with heavy materials and equipment.

• Flexibility to handle diverse tasks, from fine detail work (e.g., finishing painting edges, fitting locks) to large-scale repairs (e.g., structural wood or metal projects).

• Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset, and ability to work independently when needed.

• Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license (B) and maintain its validity for the duration of employment.

• Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.

Qualifications ( Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)

• Additional trade certifications in carpentry, painting, welding, or locksmithing.

• A level of proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

• High school diploma or equivalent
