Imagine starting at 4:00 a.m., reading the first ticket, and guiding raw materials into a finished door that meets an exact customer spec. Your attention to detail makes each step count.

Shift: 1st | Hours: 4:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | Compensation: $17–$20

Your Mission

  1. Study tickets and quality specifications to plan the build according to proper door construction.
  2. Move the cull board onto the lift table by sliding, pushing, pulling, and lifting as needed.
  3. Retrieve materials from the glue spreader and direct them correctly to the top end Layup builder.
  4. Lay out skins on cupboards; place glued components accurately to customer specifications; apply the top skin to complete the door.
  5. Use visual perception with the foot pedal to align the lift table with the transfer cart and push the stacked doors onto the cart.

What Sets You Up for Success

  • Knowledge: tickets, quality specs, proper door construction, door types, core types, stile/rail/block types.
  • Skills: read/interpret production tickets, perform visual quality checks, and comprehend build construction specs.
  • Responsibility: operate with little to no supervision; ensure correct component placement; run from tickets; verify quality and quantity.

What the Work Demands

  • Lifting up to 20 lbs on Hollow core and heritage specials line; up to 80 lbs on solid core and specials line.
  • Bending, twisting, stooping; excellent dexterity; strong eye/hand coordination.
  • Fast-paced environment handling multiple parts with glue; standing for long continuous hours.
  • Constant attention to detail on build construction and precise material placement; focus on glue levels and hand placements.

How You'll Collaborate

Work closely with the feeder and another operator as a high-performing team.

Where You'll Work

Mildly controlled environment with some cold and heat during extreme weather; mild dust conditions.
