Are you a hardworking laborer looking to grow your skills and advance into heavy equipment operation? We’re looking for motivated individuals ready to work hard, learn fast, and take the next step in their construction career. As a Laborer to Operator, you’ll start with hands-on labor and receive training to operate construction equipment safely and effectively.
Responsibilities:
-
Perform general labor on construction sites (site prep, digging, material handling, etc.)
-
Assist experienced equipment operators and follow safety protocols
-
Learn to operate machinery such as skid steers, backhoes, excavators, loaders, and other construction equipment
-
Perform basic maintenance checks and report issues
-
Maintain a clean and organized worksite
-
Follow instructions from site supervisors and foremen
-
Progressively assume more responsibility as skills and certifications grow
Qualifications:
-
Previous construction or outdoor labor experience but not required
-
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn
-
Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, bending, exposure to weather)
-
Basic understanding of construction safety practices
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
-
CDL or heavy equipment experience a plus (but we will train the right person)

Blueprint Reading – Ability to interpret construction drawings and site layouts.

Material Handling – Experience with loading/unloading, stockpiling, and material transport.

GPS & Laser Systems – Familiarity with machine control systems and grade checking tools (if applicable).

Traffic Control – Knowledge of flagging and work zone setup procedures.

Tool Usage – Skilled with hand and power tools used in construction.
Physical & Environmental Skills

Stamina & Endurance – Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Hand-Eye Coordination – Essential for precise operation of machinery.
