Title: Laboratory Technician

Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension)
Location: Newark, CA 94560
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Role Summary

Supports food safety, quality, and operations teams through routine laboratory testing, documentation, and equipment monitoring. Requires hands-on lab work, data entry, and adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical and laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and final products
• Monitor instrument performance, run calibration checks, and perform basic maintenance or simple repairs
• Document all results in databases and communicate findings to internal teams
• Assist in maintaining food/feed safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Follow compliance procedures and ensure all testing meets regulatory requirements
• Support more complex experiments under intermediate supervision
• Maintain updated customer specifications and instrument logs
• Handle basic administrative and technical support tasks, escalating complex issues when needed
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
• Prepare routine reports and documentation
