Laboratory Control Engineer

What kind of work will you be doing? Supporting development of control logic of Vertiv HVAC products and their components centrifugal compressors, water cooled chiller etc. Processing and analysis of laboratory test data for improvement of unit logic. Validation of HVAC components, system models and hardware architecture, with data laboratory tests. Establish methodologies and equipment for logic validation and characterization of components and systems. Conduct testing under a variety of use conditions to determine whether they meet customer/field expectations. Project documentation and progress presentation to the senior management. Selection of the proper hardware for testing purpose. technical support for existing products and prototypes. Work in a multi-disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high performance, cost effective design and market leading innovation. To analyse and resolve technical problems. Must be self-sufficient and able to organize own work and make budgeted plans for timely delivery of performance program releases. Support service, train Service Tech Support on product and technologies developed. Collaborate with lab technicians to validate unit control logic, implement changes, and assess enhancements. Partner with R&D team to conceptualize new platforms and advanced technologies, coordinating with ATC teams on innovative control algorithms. What will make you successful? Strong innovation capabilities and willingness to listen openly to other ideas. Theoretical and practical knowledge of Power Electronic, theory of Telecommunication, Automation, Electronic Instrumentation, programming languages (Java, C, C#,…). Knowledge and experience of measuring methods and tools. Experienced in HVAC or cooling product design (or similar). University bachelor’s degree – Electronic Engineering or similar. Enthusiastic, Imaginative and Intelligent. What are the minimum qualifications? Minimum 3 years’ experience on commercial / industrial HVAC products and components. Basic knowledge of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. Basic programming knowledge. Problem Solving. Teamwork: naturally inclined to work in a team. Industrial protocol communication (Modbus, CAN). Ethernet protocol connection (network switch management). Office software literate, including MS Excel. Nice to have: Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in Italian and English language. Good knowledge of IT Cooling products. European/worldwide regulation requirement on HVAC Industry. Worker Safety Training (Training dedicated for high risk works; Training CEI).
