We are seeking an experienced and skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 1st shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with proficiency in PLC systems and preventative maintenance practices. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various industrial equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on industrial equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues in industrial equipment
- Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or systems as needed
- Program, maintain, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related automation systems
- Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to understand equipment functionality and repair procedures
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures in the maintenance department
- Train and mentor junior technicians on maintenance best practices and safety procedures
- Stay updated on the latest industrial maintenance techniques, technologies, and safety standards
- Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment reliability
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and perform repairs as needed
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment and machinery
QualificationsRequired:
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
- Proficiency in industrial maintenance practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of PLCs and automation systems
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and techniques
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics and blueprints
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate or associate's degree
