This primary function is to provide 24-hour, 7 day a week "skilled trade" Industrial HVAC & Chiller maintenance support to the manufacturing. Support will be provided collaboratively by two team members to ensure continuous coverage, which may include remote or on-call assistance outside of regular working hours.
The HVAC Control Technician I performs Test and Balance, HVAC troubleshooting and PM’s for the site. The person also supports facility engineering on commissioning and installation of HVAC upgrades as well as existing control systems, assists other mechanics/environmental technicians with complex HVAC issues outside of their skill level. The technician performs Heating, Cooling, Chiller, and Humidification controls PM.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with building automation systems (BAS) e.g., Johnson Controls (Metasys) and configuring it is highly valued.
- Troubleshooting: Strong ability to diagnose and solve problems with electronic, digital, and pneumatic controls systems is essential.
- HVAC & Controls: Knowledge of air and hydronic systems, chillers, boilers, and the associated controls
- 3 phase electrical knowledge, certifications a plus
- Microsoft office
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/Certificate: An associate’s or Technical Degree in HVAC, Controls is a common preference over just a high school diploma.
- Universal EPA Certification is
- Type II or Type III EPA Certification
- Communication: The ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing, is key.
- Customer Service: A professional and polished demeanor is necessary when interacting with clients.
- Detailed Oriented: A strong attention to detail helps ensure accuracy in work and documentation.
The base pay for this position is $24.50 – $49.00 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
