Job Summary:
We are seeking an experiencedIndustrial Controls Engineerwith a strong background insystems integrationto join our engineering team. This role is central to designing, developing, and implementing industrial automation solutions that seamlessly integrate PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robotics, and various plant-floor systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in integrating complex control systems across diverse platforms and technologies, ensuring high reliability and performance in industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, program, and commission control systems using PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and SCADA platforms.
- Lead integration of industrial equipment and systems including robots, vision systems, motion controllers, and third-party devices.
- Develop and implement communication architectures using industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet, OPC UA, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, IT, production) to integrate automation systems with MES, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including control architecture diagrams, wiring schematics, and program structure.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing control systems to improve reliability, performance, and integration with new systems.
- Support installation, startup, and validation of new automation and control systems at customer or manufacturing sites.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and industrial regulations (e.g., NFPA 70E, ISO, OSHA).
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Mechatronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial control systems with a primary focus on integration.
- Proficient in PLC/HMI programming (Rockwell Studio 5000, Siemens TIA Portal, etc.).
- Strong understanding of industrial networks and communication protocols.
- Demonstrated experience integrating multiple systems (robots, sensors, vision, SCADA, MES).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).
- Familiarity with SQL, Python, or scripting for data integration.
- Knowledge of safety PLCs and risk assessments.
- Experience in manufacturing environments such as automotive, food & beverage, or pharmaceuticals.
Work Environment:
- Mix of office, laboratory, and production floor environments.
- Occasional travel to customer sites for installation and commissioning (up to 25%).
