Hydraulic Mechanical Technician – Orange County area, CA
Full-Time | On-site | Monday–Friday, 7am-4pm or 8am–5pm

An industry leader in industrial engine and turbine control solutions is seeking a Hydraulic Mechanical Technician to join its growing service team in Buena Park, CA. This is a hands-on, technical role ideal for a mechanically skilled professional with a strong understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems related to natural gas, diesel engines, and turbine controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, disassemble, assemble, test, and troubleshoot hydra-mechanical equipment.
- Interpret system schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Analyze and optimize performance of mechanical governing and actuation systems.
- Maintain shop instruments and follow repair policies in line with manufacturer standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers to provide technical expertise and solutions.
- Support field installations, calibrations, and on-site troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or GED required; trade cert or equivalent experience in mechanical systems, engines, or transmissions preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines.
- Basic understanding of engine/turbine controls and power systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and use of precision tools and diagnostic instruments.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, passport, and TWIC card.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work extended hours in a shop environment.
Some travel required for field support.
