Position: HR Manager
Location: Central Oxford (parking available)
Salary: £50-65k
Work pattern: Monday – Friday, 9.30-5.30pm
Hybrid: Primarily office based with some informal hybrid working
Required experience: an experienced HR Manager, ideally within a start up (or similar) environment
We are delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly growing start up within the renewable energy field who are looking for an outstanding HR Manager to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established and forward-thinking HR Manager to build a modern HR function and truly make the role their own.
What will the role involve?
- Day to day management and ownership of the full employee lifecycle and HR operations for a company of 17 (who aim to grow to 30 by the end of next year)
- Creation of all HR policies and procedures in line with statutory requirements and guidelines
- Owning all recruitment activities including strategic workforce planning, writing job adverts, shortlisting, conducting initial screening interviews, reference checks and issuing employment contracts
- Managing the onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Being the administrator of the company’s visa sponsorship licence and managing all associated activities
- Ensuring that diversity and inclusion is at the heart of every decision made within the business
- Championing a welcoming, collaborative and ambitious company culture in order to maintain their high employee retention
- Designing and implementing a new benefits package
- Supporting employee relations by providing accurate advice and guidance based on company policy and employment law
- Overseeing payroll
- Project work for continuous improvement as required

An up to date knowledge of employment law is paramount, as is the ability and motivation to build the HR function from scratch. You must be prepared to be hands on, flexible and integrate yourself into the team.
