Qualifications

  • Ability to speak and write in Spanish required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Human resources: 5 years (Required)

 

Responsibilities

  • Recruits and verifies all new personnel to include prescreening, reference checks, and testing and on-boarding of new hires
  • Responsible for integrating company wide staffing efforts and the administration of benefits, compensation and documentation to support them
  • Manages worker’s compensation and unemployment insurance claims
  • Prepares labor reports as requested
  • Compiles statistics for EEO purposes and managers EEO reporting and compliance
  • Ensures compliance with EEO and OSHA and other employment related regulations
  • Manages training and staff development per company policies and procedures
  • Resolve Employee complaints, conducts any necessary investigations and required documentation
  • Assist in training personnel and completion of all required paperwork
  • Assist and coach managers with documentation and counseling
  • Reviews personnel records to determine names, rates of pay, and occupations of newly hired workers, and changes wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll as needed. (Coordinates with Payroll Manager in this role)
  • Computes pay according to company policy and local, state and federal laws
  • Inputs payroll data such as insurance, and direct deposit requests, etc
  • Reviews and inputs payroll deductions
  • Reconciles bills from insurance, and staffing companies
  • Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures
  • Issues written and/or oral instructions in regards to time keeping
  • Monitors for accuracy
  • Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Adjusts errors and issues related to timekeeping
  • (Currently handled outside of this role)
  • Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy
  • (Coordinates with Payroll Manager in this role) to serve as back up payroll processing
  • (Currently handled by Payroll Manager)
  • Distributes Paychecks
  • Continually improves department in a manner that meets and exceeds company objectives by promoting a safe and employee friendly work environment that is compliant with local, state and federal law
  • Ensures company's legal compliance and representation
  • Manages Performance Review, Monthly Communication, Safety Committee and Training, Forklift Training, Suggestion Program, and Orientation Process
  • Responsible for Staff Development
  • Ensures that there is an alignment between staff and the goals of the organization
  • 8 - hour shift x 3 days a week OR 5- hour shift x 5 days a week
  • Occasional early morning or late afternoon schedule changes to meet with different shifts
