HR Category Manager – Procurement
London | £60,000 – £65,000 + Excellent Package
A leading energy organisation is looking for an experienced HR Category Manager to join its growing procurement team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional to take ownership of a key spend area within one of the UK’s most exciting and forward-thinking companies.
The role will sit within a Greenfield procurement function that looks to play a central role in enabling the organisation’s ambitious growth plans. The HR Category Manager will lead all procurement activity across HR and people-related services, including recruitment, learning and development, contingent labour and employee benefits.
This is a highly visible position, offering the chance to shape category direction, build strategic supplier partnerships and deliver long-term value through innovative procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage the procurement category strategy for HR and people services
- Create and refine a clear category hierarchy, ensuring alignment with broader procurement frameworks and business objectives
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities, optimise supplier performance and ensure commercial best practice
- Lead all procurement processes including sourcing, tendering, negotiation and contract management
- Champion best-in-class procurement governance, driving consistency and continuous improvement
Ideal Candidate
- Strong HR category experience within a complex, fast-paced procurement environment
- Proven ability to develop and deliver procurement strategies that drive measurable value
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and collaborate at senior levels
- Highly organised, proactive and passionate about delivering excellence through procurement
