Fire Alarm Sales Estimator / Project Manager

We are seeking a loyal and honest Fire Alarm Sales Estimator / Project Manager to join our family business! You will help generate sales by preparing estimates on everything from monitoring and deficiency repairs to system upgrades and small-scale installations. We would like you to help manage some projects (as able) by scheduling, ordering materials, preparing change orders, ensuring completion, and scheduling final inspections/final billings. 

Responsibilities:

• Review inspection reports and generate estimates as accurately as possible
• Pursue sales leads and land new accounts 
• Perform site visits and anticipate installation hurdles and real-world installation times
• Oversee projects from planning to completion
• Allocate and coordinate resources for assigned projects
• Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications or make changes as required 

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• In-depth understanding of fire and electrical codes
• Ability to foresee potential problems and generate efficient solutions 
• Understanding of different alarm systems and compatible products or required tools/software
• Previous experience in fire alarm service, sales, estimating, or other related fields
• Familiarity with estimating applications 
• Strong leadership qualities and negotiation skills
• Deadline and extremely detail-oriented
• Unique problem-solving skills
• Self-education skills 
• Clean DL and background check
