Job Description
TOMRA North America, a top International Reverse Vending and Recycling Company is looking for a Service Technician in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Company Vehicle is provided
Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday through Friday with Rotating Saturday/Sunday (alternating weekend days with a comp day during the week)
Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: $21.00 per hour with quarterly incentive
This position will need to travel extensively throughout Massachusetts to area grocery stores, liquors stores, and retail stores to install or remove our reverse vending machines (RVM) as well as install and maintain data communication equipment. Must have strong customer service skills and be able to work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-installation site surveys at customer locations and create related documents for management review
- Install, calibrate and test reverse vending machines
- Trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions
- Train customers on the operation and maintenance of RVM's
- Conduct quality inspections on already installed equipment
· Compile reports based on work order specifications and company procedures
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in electro-mechanical field service role
- Clean and valid driver's license with the ability to obtain a DOT Medical card
- High school diploma of GED
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Experience using a multi-meter
- Capability to use both a lap top computer and a smart phone along related software and apps
- Clear communication skills both verbal and in writing
- Proven ability to interact with customers and clients
Job Requirements:
- Min. education High School degree or equivalent required; 2 Year Degree or Certification
- Min. experience 1-2 years' experience in electromechanical field service or equivalent
