Field Service Engineer – Controls in location Vietnam

Job Requirements

As a Field Service Engineer – Controls, you will be responsible for:


  • Keeping safe and Compliant performance with all HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) matters and or targets required by internal and external Stakeholders
  • Participating actively in all Safety related initiatives on/offshore and involve in site Integration Testing and other relevant Site Receive Tests
  • Installing and maintaining of Baker Hughes Controls system equipment both Topside & Subsea involving but not limited to:Hydraulic Power Units, Work Over Control Systems, Electrical Test Units, Electrical/Hydraulic Flying Leads, Subsea Control Modules etc.
  • Solving of Technical problems both on/offshore and pro-active involvement in product improvement
  • Working closely maintaining BH’s high expectation of working with uncompromising Integrity to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Using of company e-tools to retrieve technical documents when required
  • Maintaining a strong customer relationship through a positive, proactive and professional approach
  • Reporting to the Field Service Manager, this role may require the candidate to supervise junior personnel and proactively assist in their training and development on/offshore.



Work Experience

To be successful in this role you will:


  • Have strong technical background with demonstrable exposure to offshore drilling campaigns
  • Have knowledge of Baker Hughes Wellhead systems
  • Have minimum of 5 years experience with Subsea Drilling equipment working in deep-water and Certificate or Mechanical Apprenticeship or similar
  • Have good written and oral English and technically astute with demonstrable exposure to Baker Hughes Control systems
  • Have minimum of Higher Certificate or similar in a relevant Engineering or Hydraulic/Electrical/Software discipline
  • Be able to prove ability to interface with Customers on a one-to-one basis
  • Be able to travel at short notice to potentially global locations. 
  • Have strong communication skills and Basic knowledge of installation processes
  • Be able to perform Troubleshooting and Repair work on the spot
